Give thanks......

Holli is now all settled in her private room! There is a cot in the room and Diane and Harrison are taking turns staying with her. She is still doing well. They notice subtle changes in her everyday. She is now opening both eyes spontaneously!! She also is now squeezing their hands and has moved her right arm on her own. They are still working with the airlines to have her flown home commercially. This is progressing, but isn't a definite as of yet. Please continue to pray for them all as the arrangements are made. I can't say "thank you" enough. We have been amazed at the outpouring of love and support for Holli and our family. I believe this is a true testament to God's love for us and how He wants us to love one another.

to hollis, her family & friends:

I was very saddened to hear about what happened to hollis but wanted to share a story about a medical miracle to give you, her family & friends some hope to go on.

when I first heard about her accident, I was stunned because one of my closest friends was in a car accident in india ten years ago next month. her spine was twisted & partially severed and it was expected that she would never walk again. she was stuck paralyzed in an indian hospital for weeks while we scrambled to find a way to get her home & through similar efforts to what you are doing & through pressure to our US govt representatives, she was finally flown home in a private medical plane. after many surgeries from some of the best spinal surgeons in the world & grueling months of rehab, she was able to walk again & her situation is now a "miracle" case study at the university of penn. while not the same physically (she can't run), she has gone onto to have a great life & beautiful baby boy. I just wanted to mention this story because I can relate in some small way to the process of what is happening and wanted to share with you a small miracle that did happen. it happened with some luck but also in large part because family & friends refused to give up on her & her recovery. this is the true value of love, friendship and family.

if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know – I will of course donate what I can to her cause & spread the word far and wide encouraging others to do the same.

my thoughts are with her, you, her family & friends. keep believing – you’re doing a great job.

take care,
quintin
